Kiltale’s participation in the next round of Operation Transformation will begin on 4th Jan 2017 – all interest welcome.

In particular we are in need of Female Team Leaders – we seem to have good numbers for Male Team Leaders, but could use female team leaders to volunteer to step up in the New Year.

The GAA has recently launched the registration site for the new GAA Membership Card and ‘GRMA’ rewards programme. From the end of January, those who have registered will be able to earn points for going to games and engaging in GAA activities.  Members will be able to redeem points for ticket vouchers and other offers.

A GAA membership number will be required to register; once 2017 membership is renewed and paid the club can give the member their 2017 membership number. Registered Members will receive their official GAA Membership Card personalised with their name, club and GAA membership number once registered.

Membership Cards will only be distributed to members who have signed up to grma online.  For further details, visit gaa.ie/grma.

Kiltale Hurling Club & Camogie Club Dinner Dance

A date for your diary: the dinner dance will take place on 4th March, 2017 at 7.30pm in the Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim.  More information in the New Year.

Kiltale Hurling Club – Lottery Grant

Due to a complication with Folio number at the lands at Kiltale GAA pitch.  The GAA and the State solicitor are working to resolve this issue and the Lottery funding is still secure while this process is completed.  Until then the works planned for the dressing rooms are on hold.

Hurling Club Plan

This was submitted to Meath GAA in September, and as part of the plan the club will engage in bringing outside coaches to the club on a weekend in January/February to mentor all the club’s team mentors. The plan is to give coaches new ideas. We would encourage some of our retired players and present players when this date is set to come and join in. The club want to assist all as much as possible.

Defibrillator Training

The club will have training for using the defibrillator in January – so we’re asking mentors and players to be trained up on this.  No one knows when if ever the defibrillator will be need and we feel that the more people involved in the club should be aware on how to use it.  The club will be placing the defibrillator outside the dressing rooms in the coming weeks.

Please give your name to Liz Phelan 086-1205552 if you’re interested in being trained. There will be a small fee to assist this training.

Bingo has resumed in Kiltale every Tuesday night from 8:30pm (sharp) – all are welcome for an enjoyable evening.
