Well done to the Division 2 senior team on their triumph in the League, and also to our minors who took County Championship honours last Sunday.

Thanks to all for showing their support at both matches – and thanks to all our teams, mentors and supporters for another wonderful year.

Emergency General Meeting of Kiltale Clubhouse

The bar committee of Kiltale Clubhouse is calling an EGM on this Saturday, July 26th in the Clubhouse at 7:30pm.

We wish to inform the parish that the bar in the clubhouse is struggling to remain open due to a downturn in business and we may need to cease trading unless we can get your support.

At present we are not getting enough functions to break even and our accountant has advised us that unless there is an increase in business we may have to cease trading.

We are asking everyone in the parish to get behind us to help keep this great facility open.

We look forward to meeting you on Saturday evening with positive suggestions on how we can increase business to keep our clubhouse open.

The Cube: THANK YOU

A HUGE thank you to all who supported and organised our ‘THE CUBE’ fundraiser in the Knightsbrook, and a huge thank you and well done to each of the contestants.

The winner, who held his nerve until the last, was Anthony Forde, sponsored by Kiltale Juvenile Hurling Club. 2nd place was Ronan Ryan, sponsored by Kiltale Social Initiative.

The €1,000 entry raffle was won by Valerie Gunnin, and the signed Devin Toner Leinster jersey was won by Christopher Deegan, Athboy.

A great night was held by all, and the Hurling & Camogie Clubs are very greatful for the continuing support.

Golf Classic: THIS FRIDAY

Back to the Knightsbrook this weekend for the annual Kiltale Hurling Club Golf Classic.

Tee-times are still available: please contact Paddy Kelly at 086-8282458.

Wanted: Your old phone

We’re collecting old mobile phones to raise for a second defibrillator for the club, to be housed in a box on the outside wall of the clubhouse. This can then be used at all hours, and can be accessed by the broader parish. Old phones can be dropped in to the clubhouse. Thank you for your assistance.
