We are running this night as a fundraiser towards the upkeep of the new walking track and lighting, so appeal that everyone do their best to spread the word and to come out on the night. Meath Local Partnership are carrying out a survey with Age Action Ireland asking people on their views on older people in Meath – their thoughts on the facilities available to them, etc. Surveyors may call to your door – please note that all surveyors will visit during daylight hours, and each person will have official ID. GAA ‘Social Initiative’: A step in the right direction
The GAA were asked by President Mary McAleese to help with organising activities for ‘Senior’ men in our clubs. President McAleese noticed on her travels around the country that it was mostly women and women’s groups who attended during any of her visits. Kiltale Hurling Club has been accepted, along with Dunshaughlin in Meath, and we are organising a visit to Croke Park on Saturday 15th Oct.
