The Kiltale-Moynalvey ‘Young at Heart’ group will holds its AGM on Thursday 22nd November at 8:30pm in the clubhouse. New members very welcome.

Fixtures coming soon

  • Saturday 24th November – Under-15 league shield final – Kiltale v Dunderry – venue Dunganny, throw-in 2pm

Meath GAA extends deadline for ‘Royal House’ draw

Meath GAA has announced that it is extending the deadline for its Royal House Draw.. The draw for the €275K home at Cois Glaisin in south Navan had been due to take place on the 31st of October but it has now been decided to defer it until December 29th.

The draw is the first of three for three new houses through which Meath GAA plans to raise €1.5m for the redevelopment of Páirc Tailteann.

Peter O’Halloran, Chairman of Meath GAA said while feedback to the draw had been extremely positive, they had underestimated the amount of time required to put the logistics for the draw in place.

“Running a draw like this is a major operation and it took us longer than planned to put the framework in place. As a result, we started a little later than planned. The reaction of the clubs has been very enthusiastic, but their feedback was that they needed more time to sell their tickets.”

“Extending the time period will also enable us to take advantage of the Christmas period as these tickets will make ideal festive gifts for anyone who supports Meath GAA or indeed for anyone who would simply like to start 2019 by walking into their new home”, he said.

Tickets for the draw are €100 each but all those paying in advance for the three draws will be able to avail of a special discount rate of €250. Tickets are available from local clubs and online www.royalhousedraw.com/ The maximum number of tickets sold for each draw will be 12,000.

Various options and ‘easy pay’ methods are available to facilitate the purchase of tickets while an incentive scheme for clubs is also in place. The other draws will take place in mid and late 2019.

Note on Redevelopment of Páirc Tailteann

Coiste na Mi has planning permission for the full redevelopment of Pairc Tailteann to a 21,000 all seater stadium. The planning permission was obtained following a feasibility study on the existing grounds in 2013 which found that it was in need of major refurbishment to make it fit for purpose. Coiste na Mi is now embarking on Phase 1 of the redevelopment – the provision of a new 7,000 seater stand, the restoration of the floodlights and a small realignment of the pitch.

This exciting development will see Pairc Tailteann restored to its position as the best stadium in the North East, outside of Croke Park, a place of which all Meath Gaels can be proud and an inspiration to future generations.

Development work at Kiltale GAA Pitch

All members please note the following: Work on the new complex will begin on Monday 27th August, beginning with dressing room 2.

  • New flooring in all dressing rooms and hallway of the dressing rooms
  • New shower and toilet facilities
  • Repair to roofing in dressing rooms/clubhouse
  • Upgrade water and heating to accommodate dressing rooms/clubhouse

We ask all players and mentors to show patience with the works. The club appreciates that the hurling season is still in full swing, but the timeframe for completion must still be met and work must begin immediately as a result of the delay with the folio number.

To facilitate all, players are asked to appreciate with time that showers will not be available and only one dressing room will be available without showers. As said we apologise for the inconvenience of this but hope that all can appreciate where the committee and club have to work from. The club are most grateful for the assistance of FAS with the work and those that have offered to supply tools etc.

NOTE: Some help is need locally for the start and thereafter Vincent Walsh Construction will complete the remainder of the work. We need assistance and the club would ask if any trade men or members could help them out in the evening to please contact Dom Reilly 0862132288 or Paddy Kelly 0868282458. If you would contact Dom or Paddy and the club will plan to address the work.

Development work at Kiltale GAA Pitch

All members please note the following: Work on the new complex will begin on Monday 27th August, beginning with dressing room 2.

  • New flooring in all dressing rooms and hallway of the dressing rooms
  • New shower and toilet facilities
  • Repair to roofing in dressing rooms/clubhouse
  • Upgrade water and heating to accommodate dressing rooms/clubhouse
  • New Gym
