3×25 Cards – Fundraiser for Juvenile Hurling

Thanks to everyone who attended this fundraiser and to Francis Lynch for orgainsing this event. To those that assisted in the making of sandwiches, tea and coffee – it is all very much appreciated.

1916 Commemoration

Kiltale Hurling Club would like to thank all that made this event last Sunday morning a success.

Membership for 2016

To those who have paid their membership to date thank you very much. All membership must be paid by the end of April. Membership officer Janet Lenihan (086 0559152) is attending most training sessions during the week (Tuesday and Friday between 8pm and 9.15pm) and the club are most grateful to her for taking on this task.

Please can all members honour the end-of-April deadline.

2015 membership was paid in full by players/mentors and families and we acknowledge this with thanks.  For 2016 we will ask the same and with the assistance of the membership officer and all concerned.

  2. Over 18 and Studying (player with voting rights) €60
  3. Single Juvenile U18 (no voting rights) €60
  4. Family Membership in conjunction with Kiltale Camogie Club (2 adults and children in full-time education) €180.

    f availing of option 4, please list names of people in your family that you wish to be registered with the Hurling club. Upon registration members over 18 years of age are entitled to vote at General meetings of the Club in accordance with the Official Hurling Rules.

  6. If you are presently paying €15 monthly direct debit to the hurling club development fund this is your membership fee. To be registered, complete a membership form.
  7. Social Club Membership – for use of walking track/facilities (no voting rights) €50

Strictly Come Dancing – Date confirmed

The club’s major fundraiser for 2016 will be Strictly Come Dancing – which will take place on Saturday 3rd December in Trim GAA Centre.

A dance and choreographic teacher have now been selected, so now it’s up to the dancers… if you are interested, contact details will be given for the committee organising this event in the coming weeks.

Bingo has returned to the clubhouse every Tuesday night at 8:30pm sharp.

GAA National Club Draw 2016: the winners

goldenticketTHANK YOU to everyone who bought tickets for the GAA’s National Club Draw 2016 – a great initiative in which the GAA offer some great prizes, but where all funds raised by each club can stay within that club.

The draw this year raised over €1.67 million for clubs around the country – including some valuable funds for ourselves here in Kiltale.

But now, to business – there is at least one Meath winner among the 2016 prizes…

Dinner dance 2016

Kiltale Hurling Club’s annual dinner dance will take in Trim Castle Hotel on Wednesday 16th March. All confirmed details next week.

Membership for 2016

All membership is due by the 27th March. In the coming weeks Membership Officer Janet Lenehan will organise a registration night, and attend training sessions to assist all with payment.  2015 membership was paid in full by players/mentors and families and we acknowledge this with thanks.  For 2016 we will ask the same and with the assistance of the membership officer and all concerned.

  1. Senior Full Adult (player with voting rights) €100
  2. Over 18 and Studying (player with voting rights) €60
  3. Single Juvenile U18 (no voting rights) €60
  4. Family Membership in conjunction with Kiltale Camogie Club (2 adults and children in full-time education) €180.

    f availing of option 4, please list names of people in your family that you wish to be registered with the Hurling club. Upon registration members over 18 years of age are entitled to vote at General meetings of the Club in accordance with the Official Hurling Rules.
  5. Full membership (with voting rights) €80
  6. If you are presently paying €15 monthly direct debit to the hurling club development fund this is your membership fee. To be registered complete a membership form
  7. Social Club Membership – for use of walking track/facilities (no voting rights) €60

This annual tournament started last week – best of luck to all the Hurling and Camogie teams, mentors and parents.

Coming soon: Strictly Come Dancing

The club’s major fundraiser for 2016 will be Strictly Come Dancing, taking place this Autumn at Trim GAA Club.

A dance and choreographic teacher have now been selected, so now it’s up to the dancers… if you are interested, contact details will be given for the committee organising this event in the coming weeks.

Kiltale Camogie Club’s Operation Transformation

The club’s eight-week Operation Transformation programme will commence on Tuesday 19th January and run for eight weeks until the middle of March.

Meath GAA courses for new referees

January 16, 2016

Meath GAA will shortly be running courses for anyone looking to train as a referee. The course is for anybody interested in refereeing in both codes, football and hurling.

There are some great prizes available in this year’s club draw – all tickets sold by Kiltale gets to stay with the club. Most players and families of juvenile players and others in the parish have received a bunch of tickets to sell in the last week. The club is urging you all to please support the draw, as it is a fundraiser for the club and it will help address loan payments and invoice payments for the club.  After a successful year we hope we have your continuing support toward this fundraiser.
